Der Beitrag trägt die wesentlichen Punkte, die in diesem Band zur Sprache kommen, zusammen und versucht, die intertextuellen Verbindungslinien als rote Fäden sichtbar zu machen. Es werden jedoch auch die Alleinstellungsmerkmale der Einzeltexte hervorgehoben, wobei gemäß der Thematik der Sammlung qualitative wie quantitative Verfahren angewandt werden. Zentrale einende Schlagworte sind das Erheben und der Umgang mit Daten, das Spannungsverhältnis zwischen qualitativen und quantitativen Herangehensweisen, das Element des Zufalls, Visualisierung, Kontextprobleme, Wissenskommunikation und Kompetenzerwerb. Letzterer Aspekt bietet den Anschluss für einen abschließenden kommentierenden Abschnitt, in dem die noch jungen Biographien der Autor*innen nach dem Vorbild der restlichen Beiträge als Folie einbezogen werden.

This synopsis summarises the key points addressed in this volume and seeks to highlight the golden threads discernable in the intertextual connections. At the same time, it also emphasizes the unique features of the individual texts, applying both qualitative and quantitative methods in line with the theme of the collection. Central unifying keywords include data collection and handling, the tension between qualitative and quantitative approaches, the element of chance, visualization, issues of context, knowledge communication, and computational competence and literacy. The latter aspect serves as a bridge to a concluding commentary, in which the still-emerging biographies of the authors are incorporated as a framework, following the model of the other contributions.
