About the Journal

Fandom | Cultures | Research is an openly accessible, bilingual online journal (English/German), published as a diamond open access journal via the open access repository media/rep/ aiming to establish an innovative platform to further develop the understanding of situated cultural practice and ultimately, to negotiate the methodological foundations of their investigation.

There are no publication fees for authors. Every manuscript submitted is evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process, meaning that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to one another. Each article is assessed by at least two independent reviewers, ensuring an impartial evaluation and maintaining the highest academic standards.

Special issues may include pre-structured thematic sections for submissions; however, all papers submitted to special issues undergo the same double-blind peer-review process as regular submissions.
