  • Miriam Fiala, University of Vienna

    Miriam Fiala, BA, is a Master’s student of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures at the University of Vienna, Austria. Having previously conducted studies on pronunciation perception and retention, her current research interests in-clude Gender Studies and Queer Theory, archival practices, Victorian literature and culture, as well as the works of Aphra Behn and Friederike Mayröcker. Using Resident Evil as a case study, her Master’s thesis explores how femslash fan fiction can subvert patriarchal norms in gaming cultures.

  • Sarah Heinz, University of Vienna

    Sarah Heinz, Univ.-Prof. Dr., is a Full Professor of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures at the University of Vienna, Austria. Her research on the Anglophone novel and within Cultural Studies covers subject theory, critical whiteness studies, and intersectionality, which she has explored in contexts ranging from Ireland and Britain to Australia and Nigeria. Most recently, she has focused on ideas and ideals of home in contemporary cultural production, exploring the interlocking aspects of homemaking practices, subjectivities, built spaces, and imaginaries of home and homeland.
